An easy bake that you can make in the afternoon when you are feeling something cheeky with chocolate without the guilt.
Makes 20 biscuits.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of self-raising flour
1 tsp of brown sugar (optional)
1/4 cup butter or 3 tablespoons of coconut oil
1 egg
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips, sugar free
1/2 cup pitted dates, chopped finely
1 pinch of salt
3 tsp water
Method:
Preheat the over to 180 degrees, and place baking paper on trays
Mix all the ingredients and add one teaspoon of water at a time to bind together
Make 20 small balls and place them on lined trays
Sprinkle a tiny bit of salt on top of each ball
Flat each biscuit slightly
Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden
Note: to keep them fresh, store in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
